In an age where grand campaigns dominate headlines, a quieter but far more powerful revolution has been steadily rewriting India’s entrepreneurial story. The Women Empowerment Network India Association, better known as WEN India, is proving that empowerment does not need theatrics to leave an impact. Built on the belief that transformation begins at the grassroots, WEN India is unlocking opportunities for women who were long kept at the margins, and in doing so, it is creating a movement that has begun to ripple across the nation.
Founded during the pandemic by Sejal and Vandita, WEN India began as a lifeline for women entrepreneurs struggling to survive when the world stood still. What started as a small circle of solidarity has grown into a nationwide sisterhood celebrating six years of collective resilience. Affordable memberships have given women access to business meet-ups, online and offline exhibitions, live promotions, and sales channels that include WhatsApp communities and an ONDC-compatible website. This network has become more than a business platform; it is a family bound by trust, collaboration, and the promise of lifting each other higher.
At the heart of this mission is Nari Shakti, the flagship initiative that redefines what true support means. For a woman entrepreneur, support is not just about funding—it’s about having someone to lean on for mental strength, emotional encouragement, and practical business guidance. Through Nari Shakti, multiple capacity-building sessions are conducted at the lowest possible cost, covering everything from SWOT analysis, turning passion into profession, WhatsApp and digital marketing, to pricing strategies and more. Each session is designed in a way that women running small businesses can easily relate to, apply in their ventures, and witness tangible growth.
What makes Nari Shakti extraordinary is not only the financial push but also the mentorship, exposure, and confidence that come with being part of a movement where empowered women uplift and enable others. Every success story adds fuel to a growing fire of change—one that cannot be ignored.
WEN India’s vision has expanded beyond funding. Recently, the association entered into a collaboration with Ramaiah University to launch UDAAN, a two-month internship program connecting students with women entrepreneurs. This initiative pairs young minds with businesses, allowing students to gain hands-on experience while providing vital support to women-led enterprises. It has already begun building bridges between academia and entrepreneurship, with WEN India now seeking partnerships with more colleges across India to strengthen this unique ecosystem of shared learning and mutual growth.
The story of WEN India is equally about compassion. From paying school fees for underprivileged children and gifting clothes during festivals to helping old age homes, feeding infants, supporting hawkers, and organizing meals in orphanages, the organization has woven philanthropy into its fabric. Heartfelt campaigns like the “Letter to God” project have further cemented its place as a network where business growth and social responsibility walk hand in hand. It is this balance of ambition and empathy that has set WEN India apart, transforming it into a beacon of purposeful change.
The journey now builds toward the 6th Annual Day Awards, where women from across industries—technology, handicrafts, social impact, health, and more—will step into the spotlight. The awards honor not just success but courage, originality, and leadership, giving recognition to those who dared to dream against the odds. With nationwide nominations already flowing in, the stage is set for a celebration of stories rarely told but urgently needed. WEN India is no longer just a network; it is a revolution in motion, a sisterhood rewriting India’s entrepreneurial narrative one story at a time.
